Pu'an Yinsu (Chinese: 普庵印肅; pinyin: Pǔān Yìnsù; born 1115 - died 1169)[1] or also known as Patriarch Pu'an (普庵祖師), and Zen Master Pu'an (普庵禪師) was a monk who transliterated a mantra from India into Chinese. His mantra, the "Pu'an Mantra" (普庵咒) is said to keep peace, but also repelled mosquitoes and insects. It is mostly chanted in Vietnam.[2]
