  • 1923 - Naokichi Haruyama, who had received training at Buick Motor Company in the U.S., returns to Japan and founds Haruyama Automobile Machinery Works [see note 1].
  • 1938 - Haruyama Automobile Machinery Plant becomes a joint-stock company and is renamed Haruyama Automobile Industry Co.
  • 1954 - The company changes its name to the current name.
  • 1959 - Seiwa Corporation, which later became the parent company, was founded.
  • 1961 - Seiwa is listed on the 2nd Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Osaka Securities Exchange.
  • 1980 - Limitorque passed the nuclear-related verification test of the American standard IEEE382.
  • 1993 - Limitorque Fukushima Service Center opened in Naraha-machi, Futaba-gun, Fukushima Prefecture.
  • 2001 - Begins sales of MOVDAS, an electric valve diagnostic device jointly developed with Japan Atomic Power Company.
  • 2002 - "Garekingu," a jack for disaster relief, receives the Good Design Award.
  • 2002 - Merged with subsidiaries Nichigi Engineering Co. and Gear Systems Co.
  • 2005 - Delivered torque sensors to a nuclear power plant in the United States.
  • 2010 - Seiwa Corporation acquires 20.38% of the company's stock. Ltd. and became an "other affiliated company" of Seiwa Corporation.
  • 2013 - Due to poor business performance, the company takes a furlough. Sales of the disaster relief jack "Garekingu" are discontinued.
  • February 2015 - Became a subsidiary of Seiwa Co.
  • June 2019 - Listed to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
