Grover Gaming is an American software development and design company that specializes in gaming content and systems for lotteries, charitable gaming jurisdictions, and Class II casino spaces.[1][2][3][4] It was founded by Garrett Blackwelder in Greenville, North Carolina in 2013.[2] It is headquartered in Greenville with additional offices in across the United States.[5][6][7][8]

History

Grover Gaming was officially formed on July 30, 2013.[9] Before founding Grover Gaming, Garrett Blackwelder had worked in the gaming technology industry as the owner of Figure 8 Technologies.[10]
Grover Gaming acquired the assets of V-TABS and Newmarket Entertainment.[11]

Grover Gaming acquired the assets of Digital Dynamics Software in 2021[5][6] establishing development in Illinois.[5][6]Grover Gaming also expanded its North Carolina operations by opening a new game development studio in Wilmington.[5][12][13] In 2021, Grover Gaming surpassed $200 million in money raised for charities.[14] The money went to organizations such as Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.[14]

In 2022, Grover Gaming acquired the Ohio-based bingo manufacturer NexLevel Gaming.[15][16]  

In January 2023, Grover Gaming became the only manufacturer to receive certification for electronic pull-tab cabinets in Kentucky.[17]

Grover Gaming was named to Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list for three years in a row.[18][19] In 2019, it was ranked number 2,600.[20] In 2020, it was ranked number 194.[20] In 2021, it was ranked number 850.[21][22]

On Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work in 2022 list, Grover Gaming was named the 2nd best place to work in the United States.[23][24]
