The Grizzly Rose is a country/western nightclub established in 1989 and is the premier country music venue in Denver, Colorado.[1][2][3][4]

The Grizzly Rose is housed in a 40,000 square foot building and presents some of the most significant names in country music including; Brooks & Dunn, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks,[5] Faith Hill, Chris Ledoux, Taylor Swift, Waylon Jennings, Toby Keith, Chris Cagle, Kenny Chesney, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Combs, Blake Shelton, Old Dominion, Billy Currington, Jon Pardi, Cole Swindell, and many others.[6] The, "Rose", as it is popularly known, hosts live country bands six nights a week and has a 2,500 square-foot floating hardwood dance floor. The nightclub has a 3,200 square-foot banquet facility, pool tables, two riding bulls, and indoor smoking area.[7][1]

The Grizzly Rose offers dance lessons for couples and line dancers.[8]

2008 Homicide edit

In December 2008, a Grizzly Rose security officer was murdered by individuals breaking into cars in the nightclub's parking lot.[9][10][11]

2021 Covid-19 controversy edit

In 2021, the Grizzly Rose was involved in a controversy over allegedly allowing un-masked patrons to congregate in large numbers inside the nightclub during a Denver city-ordered mandatory mask requirement period. The Rose was ordered to shut down by the Tri-County Health Department after the department received, "repeated complaints".[12][13][14][15]
