Pope Francis appointed as the next Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of La Serena, Archbishop René Osvaldo Rebolledo Salinas, who until then had been Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Osorno, in Osorno, Chile.
